Over the past centuries, a lot of people reached fame for their dedicated works and efforts. Some are known as heroes, others are recognized for their skills and mental acuity in their field of expertise. This proves that humans are definitely wonderful and remarkable beings.

Theology field for instance, have many personalities that are known for their works and reputation. Bishop Charles Harrison Mason is one bishop who is known as the founder of a specific Church that is now considered one of the greatest Pentecostal church in the United States region. As expected, he has a specific story and background to tell which you could be interested to know. Check out some of his remarkable and inspiring stories in the next paragraphs.

In spite having no support for his education, his biggest influence in religions was his mother and father. Born in Tennessee by former slaves, Mason encountered difficulties. At 15, he joined a particular Missionary and later on received a baptism by his brother. Even if he greatly opposed on pursuing ministry because of his dedication to become a clergyman, he still become one.

On 1880, an epidemic spread through his hometown and greatly affect many people including Jerry, his father. Since the hospitals and treatment centers during that period were in low maintenance and condition, Jerry died from the ailment forcing the other members to go to the Arkansas. Even if Charles contracted the illness, he was miraculously cured due to dedicated prayers that were offered by his siblings and mother.

Throughout his entire journey, he experienced numerous things which allow him to convert to Holiness and Pentecostalism. Because he was greatly inspired by an African Methodist Episcopal church evangelist named Amanda Berry Smith, Mason claimed great sanctification and start preaching it to some local churches. Together with some people he get acquainted with, they helped spread the doctrine in various places.

Mason had so many travels that allow him to further preach and spread his faith to other people. He was not solely focus on a single church, but rather he had plenty of experiences in numerous places. Other than visiting Colleges, he also takes part of some community practices. On 1926, he formed an organization which concerns the basic policies and regulations of church.

He never missed on being married. Mason biography note that he had three wives whom he was devoted to. The first being someone he knew is Alice Saxton. But since Saxton was not satisfied with his Ministerial life, he decided to have a divorce. Although he did not wish to marry again, he met his second wife. Later on, he achieved a happy and long life with the final and third wife.

By his death in 1961, the group he started slowly spread in numerous areas, including some foreign places. Eventually, the churches and members increase in numbers. In the early 21st century, the group is believed as the largest organization in US.

At present times, there are plenty of organizations and groups which were named on him. Awards, merits and certifications are presented to them. For that reason, hundreds and thousands of people are greatly intrigued.
