Every year has its hero. When 2017 will be reviewed, some titles will turnout to be the real heroes. Some titles that conquered the year were borrowed from the past. Others are in a class of their own that they appear to have been borrowed from the future. Whichever way one looks at it, there are enough political thriller books 2017 to make it a captivating year for writers and readers alike.

Tom Clancy titled his book Executive Orders. Imagine what would happen in all Capital Hill personalities were wiped out? This is where the book opens with the murder of congressmen, the US president and his cabinet. Jack Ryan is given the difficult task of rebuilding the government yet he also has to think of a looming war. You will literary hear your heart pounding through the pages.

Vince Flynn authored Protect and Defend, setting off at the point where Israel wipes out nuclear infrastructure belonging to Iran. This angers the leader of Iran, causing him to get angry and direct his thirst for blood towards America. There is more than politics to this story because the US president has a love life and history to sort out. There is more than politics in this story.

The Lion of Lucerne starts with the kidnap of the president at Utah. During the ordeal, only a single secret service agent survives. The story in public domain is that Middle Eastern terrorists are behind the kidnap. However, the agent does not buy the story and is out to look for the truth. How does the president act in captivity? What does the secret service agent find out about the plot? Only the story can tell. This is an exciting title by Brad Thor.

Even the most secret documents in the world are handled by more than one hand. That hand is Beecher who is responsible for presidential secrets. To impress his childhood crush, he shows her the vault where the most secret documents are reviewed by the president. They reveal deceptions, murders and conspiracies. Are these secrets connected to their lives? Only The Inner Circle by Brad Meltzer can tell.

America wants to create a point man it can control in the Middle East. That man turns against the plan and forms ISIS. This puts America in danger. First Strike by Ben Coe explores the action that follows and shows a president who lives up to the expectations of American citizens.

Ted Bell chooses the title Warriors to tell the story of an American military scientist who disappears mysteriously from Washington DC streets. A secret service agent follows the case after realizing that another professor has disappeared from Cambridge University. How is the president involved and what does the secret service agent find out in the process of unraveling this mystery? Enjoy the thrilling plot with an unstoppable hero and a unique kind of violence.

There are many other titles to watch including The 14th Colony by Steve Berry and By Order of the President written by W Griffin. The expert combination of characters and plot makes these titles exciting to read. It is also amazing to note the relationships these novels have with the daily lives of American citizenry and their politics.
